Scottish police sergeant and confirmed bachelor Hamish Macbeth faces the biggest challenge of his life, he is about to be married to Constable Josie McSween. Soon Hamish is turning up drugs, and even more murders as it transpires that the beauty had a way of annoying a whole host of characters. But there is another layer to the deception and danger.
Apparently there have been over two dozen of these books and one wonders if Scotland might be going through a population crisis if you add up the entire body count! This has humour, political in-force fighting and some red herrings along the way. You don't need to have read the series to enjoy this.
