Some are very short, such as the radio broadcast of a live execution. Yes he is definitely in the opposite corner to Stephen King with a well edited and succint style. My own particular favourite is a chess game with a major difference, but there are so many excellent choices here.
Quite clearly Goldsmith has mastered the short genre, and with his range of topics and inventiveness, one must wait eagerly for a full length novel.
