Gustav Klimt: painting, design and modern life PDF  Array Print Array  E-mail

By Tobias Natter and Christoph Grunenberg (eds.),
This book accompanies the Klimt exhibition at the Tate

The book was published on the occasion of the exhibition 'Gustav Klimt Painting, Design and Modern Life in Vienna 1900' hosted by the Tate Gallery Liverpool as a highlight of the celebrations to mark Liverpool as
European Capital of Culture 2008.

This is beautifully illustrated, and contains some fine essays on the Wiener Werkstatte, the relationship between fine art and his artistic collaborations.  The Viennese Secession is explored in some depth.
